The Workplace OHS Representative programme prepares learners to support occupational health and safety within the workplace. Learners are introduced to workplace health and safety responsibilities, hazard identification, risk assessment, workplace inspections, incident reporting and the procedures that contribute to a safer working environment. Learners develop practical capabilities in identifying potential hazards, participating in safety inspections, reporting health and safety concerns and supporting the implementation of workplace safety procedures. The programme also develops an understanding of the role of OHS representatives in promoting safety awareness and supporting workplace health and safety compliance.
